Editing Cards

To edit a card, double-click the card on your Kanban board. This opens a dialog window from which you can view/modify the card Details, Comments, and History.

Edit Card Details

To edit the Card Details, select the Details tab in the Card dialog window:

 

From here, you can modify the details of the card.

  • Title - the name of this card.
  • Type - the type of work which this card represents. This may be a Feature (a new piece of functionality), a Task, a Bug (a fix being made to an existing Feature), or an Improvement (an enhancement to an existing Feature).
  • Assigned User - the user who is responsible for completing this work.
  • Priority - priority for this work. Use this to visually identify the priority of work on your Kanban board.
  • Due Date - the date by which this work must be completed.
  • Size - the level of effort for this piece of work.
  • Class of Service (if enabled) - the Class of Service assigned to this work item.  Hovering over the icon to the right of the Class of Service field will display the policy defined for this Class of Service.
  • Is Blocked - whether or not this particular piece of work is currently blocked (or is waiting on) some other event or process. When you check this box, other users of the Kanban board will instantly see that your work is blocked and can assist in fixing the issue.
  • Description - details about this card. Use the WYSIWYG editor to create these details.
  • External Link - add a link to an external system for the Card.  Allows you to define the Name and URL of the link.  Once set, this external link will be available for navigation to the from the Card dialog or from the Card's context menu.
  • Tags - add one or more tags the card. Click the "Add Tags" link below the description text area, and enter a comma-separated list of tags.
  • External Card ID (if enabled) - the external id, representing an item in some external system, like a bug tracking system.
